Accessibility & Belonging
Dance Exchange is committed to creating and maintaining accessible spaces—in our studios, in our programming, and on our website—where all movers, makers, and community members can feel that they belong. If any space, program, or web page is inaccessible to you for any reason, please contact Dance Exchange immediately.
In Our Studios
Guests can use our accessible entrance via a ramp from our parking lot.
Our studios are fully accessible.
Our restrooms have accessible sinks, showers, and amenities.
Please note: Dance Exchange acknowledges that the current design of our bathroom does not support a gender affirming and inclusive space. We encourage people of all genders to use the bathroom that best supports your gender identity. There are private rooms with locks in each bathroom.
Please note: Our Dance Exchange office (on the second floor of our building) is not accessible. If you are meeting with our team, we will always find an alternate space that works for all involved.
Religious garb is welcomed in our studios and community.
If you have a food allergy or a need for scent-free spaces, please contact us, and we will do our best to make accommodations.
In Our Programming
Our classes designed for all ages, bodies, and abilities and taught by experienced facilitators. Intergenerational classes are always open to families, no matter what form your family takes.
Don’t let cost be a barrier to participating in our programs. Please check out our Work/Exchange program or contact us to explore other ways to make your participation possible.
Please note: If you need specific resources to make your participation in our programming possible, comfortable, and meaningful (such as ASL or other language interpretation, audio description, large print materials, a class partner, etc.), please contact us at least one week in advance.
On Our Website
With the launch of our new website comes a renewed commitment to making our digital spaces accessible and improving our website for everyone. We are in the process of making these changes. If any part of our website is not accessible to you for any reason, please contact us immediately.
Off Site
As some of our work is done off site, we are not always able to guarantee accessibility. We do, however, try to work with partners and sites who prioritize accessibility.
We welcome your feedback and collaboration in making our studios, programming, and website more accessible spaces where all of us can experience belonging. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
