Cassie’s Climate Circle

Join Cassie’s Climate Circle to help launch Dance Exchange’s Climate Initiative and honor Cassie’s 20 years with Dance Exchange

Group of about 20 dancers stand in a circular formation in a bright green forest clearing, stretching their arms out and their chest forward in unison.

Cassie’s Climate Circle is a leadership giving circle created to recognize exceptional commitments to Dance Exchange’s mission and vision and will play a significant role in the success of our Climate Initiative. We invite you to match your generosity to the urgency of our times to help Dance Exchange advance our work toward a just and life-giving future. We celebrate the leadership and impact that Executive Artistic Director Cassie Meador has had on Dance Exchange and the communities we have worked with her 10 years stewarding the organization and 20 years as an artist and thought leader with Dance Exchange. Cassie’s impact will extend with your support!

By joining Cassie’s Climate Circle with a gift of $1,000 or more,  you will launch our Climate Initiative at Dance Exchange and make it possible for Dance Exchange to decrease our carbon footprint while amplifying our climate work impact. As a member of Cassie’s Climate Circle, you lead by example and model a belief in Dance Exchange’s ability to energize and engage with current and emerging climate solutions through creativity, community, strategy, and partnership.

An investment in Cassie’s Climate Circle will support:

  • A Greener Community and Creative Hub

Full divesting of the Dance Exchange Community and Creative Hub’s reliance on fossil fuels through the electrification of our facility. A shift toward using electricity (rather than oil or gas) for systems such as heating and hot water is one of the first steps in our Climate Initiative that will lead towards an active solar panel array on our roof, and eventually a zero emissions facility.

  • Future Fields

Development of the Future Fields project which brings farmers, scientists, and communities around the country together through creative inquiry and research at the intersections of dance, food sustainability, climate justice and community. Future Fields partner locations include EcoCity Farms in Maryland; and Kellogg Biological Station | Long-Term Ecological Research Center in Michigan.

  • 2023 Summer Institute

Supporting artists and changemakers at this year’s Organizing with Artists for Change Summer Institute, which will focus on the role of artmaking and creative engagement within the climate movement. Your investment will support artists and participants from across the country who are generating creative solutions on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

  • Moving Field Guide Online Resource Hub

Extending the reach and impact of our Moving Field Guide programming, a kinesthetic approach to environmental education and stewardship, through the development of a new Online Resource Hub that provides tools, strategies, and frameworks for educators, artists, and communities to engage learners of all ages around climate issues.
